Who knew a tea plantation could be so beautiful in Tanah Rata, Malaysia

One big draw of the Highlands are the tea plantations.  Sure, I love tea and  figured I should go see where one of my favorite drinks came from.   The largest tea manufacturer in Malaysia is Boh and the plantations were founded in 1929 by a British businessman during the colonial era.

The stepped plantation was alien, surreal, and beautiful…I took so many pictures, it was hard to narrow them down for this post…

We also toured the tea factory…here is some old school tea manufacturing machinery…

Also we stopped by a strawberry farm…the cool, constant weather also let’s the farmers grow non- tropical crops
